To provide a safe and secure environment and to safeguard and protect ICCR and its community, all visitors and users of the Masjid are expected to act in accordance with Islamic etiquette and observe the following rules, regulations, and policies.
Personal Conduct:
- Respect: All those entering the mosque premises are required to respect the sanctity of the mosque by not engaging in any activities that may be considered inappropriate or disrespectful.
- Smoking: No smoking or vaping is allowed within 50 ft of the premises, Smoking, vaping, or any other recreational drug use is strictly prohibited inside and outside the mosque on the premises
- Alcohol and drugs: Persons under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any intoxicants will not be allowed into the ICCR premises.
- Photography and videos: It is not allowed to take photographs or record videos without the prior permission of the mosque administration.
- Disruptive behavior: The use of profanity, vulgar language, engaging in argument, or disruptive behavior is strictly prohibited on the Mosque premises.
- Dress code: Men and women are expected to dress modestly in accordance with Islamic teachings.
- Shoes: When entering the mosque, visitors should remove their shoes and place them in the designated shoe racks and must not leave them on the floor inside nor outside the mosque
Quiet time:
- Visitors should maintain a quiet and peaceful environment and avoid unnecessary noise or loud conversation during prayer timings.
- Silence at the Masjid is required during Quran recitation, prayer call (Athan), and Friday sermons (Khutba). Phones and electronic devices must be silenced or turned off during all prayers and programs.
Communication and Announcements:
- Written request must be submitted to the ICCR Board and written approval obtained at least 24 hours prior to making, posting, or distributing any personal or public announcements.
- Speaking to or addressing the congregation: Any individual or group seeking to speak to or address the congregation must seek and obtain prior approval from the ICCR Administration before addressing those present in the mosque.
Flyers:
- Only ICCR Board approved flyers are allowed to be distributed at the masjid or posted on the notice board
Staying or sleeping at the Mosque:
- Staying at the Mosque beyond midnight is prohibited and may only be permitted during designated Qiyam Nights such as the last 10 days of Ramadan.
Buying and Selling:
- No goods or services are allowed to be offered at the Masjid without the prior written approval of the Board of Directors. This includes but is not limited to, selling food and drinks.
Young children:
- Children underage must be under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or an authorized adult when attending the masjid.
Food and drinks:
- No food or drinks are allowed to be served inside the Masjid without explicit approval by a member of the Board of Directors. No food preparation or cooking is allowed inside the Masjid at any time.
- Outdoor picnics or barbecues are only permitted if a written consent by a member of the Board of Directors has been obtained.
Alterations to the premises:
- No changes or alterations are to be made to the premises without the prior written approval of the Board of Directors and the Council of Trustees.
Non-monetary donations:
- No drop-off of donated items at the premises without the written approval by the Board of Directors.
Discrimination Free Zone:
- The mosque administration strictly prohibits any form of discrimination based on race, religion, gender, or nationality.
Firearms are strictly prohibited:
- Visitors should not bring any weapons or firearms into the mosque premises unless designated by the ICCR administration as security personnel.
Closing the Mosque:
- The last person leaving the mosque must
- Check the bathrooms and ensure the lights are off and the doors are closed and locked
- Ensure that all lights are turned off and portable heaters are turned off and unplugged
- Ensure that all exit doors are in the locked position using the hex key hanging between the doors. In addition, ensure that all other doors are in the locked position.
Animals:
- No animals shall be allowed in any part of the ICCR premises without the written consent of the Board of Directors.
The mosque administration reserves the right to restrict entry to individuals who have violated the mosque’s policies in the past or who are deemed to be a potential threat to the mosque’s safety and security.
